MONTESSORI BEGINNINGS prepares parents and their very young children for the Toddler (Stepping Stones) program. Children and their parents can enroll in Montessori Beginnings when the child is 16 months of age. Each session of Montessori Beginnings is composed of four 1 hour and 15 minute visits with your child in the Toddler Program. The visits are scheduled based on your and the Toddler Room’s availability, so you can pick the days of the week that work best for you!
During each visit, you and your child will get to see the Toddler Room in action, interact with the children and the work, and spend time discussing school readiness one-on-one with our Montessori Toddler Directress. Over the course of your visits, your child will be able to learn what is like to be a part of the Toddler Community while still having the support of their caregiver! Moms, Dads, Grandparents, and other caregivers are welcome to participate….you do not need to have the same adult attend all four of the sessions.
Montessori Beginnings is a great way to learn about Montessori, introduce your child to a community situation, and see if your child is ready to attend school independently! The cost for the 4 visits is $80, and there is a brief 1-page application form to fill out. All of us in the Toddler program look forward to welcoming you and your child to our community through Montessori Beginnings!
