Montessori Elementary Assistant

The Opportunity:

The Montessori Elementary Assistant is responsible for all aspects related to supporting the lead guide in their efforts to advance the education of the students under their purview, using the best principles and practices based on the Montessori method. The Elementary Assistant supports the guide in delivering the core Montessori philosophies of respect for the individual child, preparation of the environment, respect for sensitive periods, recognizing the importance of intrinsic motivation, and fostering independence, order, and concentration in the child.

Requirements:

• Classroom experience preferred but not required. Montessori experience is a plus.

• A passion and joy for working with elementary aged students (6-12 years old) and an enthusiasm for learning.

• Personal traits and communication style that nurture the growth and development of children.

This position is part-time, Monday through Friday, and begins in August of 2025. The competitive hourly wage is commensurate with experience.
